EPIDEMIC / PANDEMIC CANCELLATION POLICY

This policy of Schuss Ski Club Ltd (Schuss) is in addition to the standard booking terms and conditions provided by Schuss. It applies while special legislation exists for any one instance of an epidemic or a pandemic.

The policy provides members and non-members with more certainty in booking lodge accommodation in times of an epidemic/pandemic. It should be viewed as an addition to rather than a replacement for travel insurance which is recommended.

In the event of any inconsistencies between standard bookings terms and this policy, this policy will take precedence.

If due to the pandemic:

  • the resort facilities are not available on the booking dates; OR

  • a person in the booking is unable to travel to the resort for the booking; OR

  • transport for a person in the booking is cancelled or disrupted preventing travel to the resort for

    the booking; OR

  • government policies prevent travel to the resort for the booking

    then, for all paid accommodation Schuss will provide:

  • for any person in a member booking: a refund † or a change of booking dates for the current season or a credit forward ††; AND

  • for any person in a non-member booking: a refund† or a change of booking dates for the current season.

    Please contact the Schuss Booking Secretary (bookings@schuss.com.au) to request a refund or credit forward ††.

    All claims for a refund† or a credit forward †† must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the booking. Where relevant, supporting documentation such as a medical certificate will need to be provided.

 

† A refund means 95% of the amount paid for the booking.
††  A credit forward is the transfer of 100% of the amount paid for a booking to a booking for a future date.
